A little about me
Vedant Sharma
Student & builder
I like understanding how things work.
Then I like trying things for myself.
I’m a Grade 11 IBDP student at The International School Bangalore. I’m building a stronger understanding of finance, markets and business strategy, while continuing to experiment with technology.
MUN, robotics, debate and self-initiated projects have given me different ways to learn: researching, building, finding what breaks, and trying again. I want to keep both sides of that exploration open, without forcing a decision too early.

Finance Intern
I worked with the accounts and management teams on production costs, COGS and unit margins, invoice checks, bank reconciliation, and receivables and payables.
I consolidated sales and expenses into weekly reports using Excel formulas, PivotTables and lookups. Factory and operational data showed me how much of finance starts with asking questions and making scattered information useful.
Ask about the internshipCompleted a broad introduction to financial markets, institutions and risk, taught by Robert J. Shiller.
Completed the first course in the Business and Financial Modeling Specialization, exploring how models structure business problems and uncertainty.
Explored client communication, goals and priorities, and matching them with appropriate strategies. This was a job simulation, separate from employment.
Worked through a fictional streaming-client transaction, including a SWOT analysis and an Excel cash-flow model.
Read market news, developed a view, pitched a trade idea and considered a hedge. These were simulated tasks.
Completed a course to understand more of the systems behind the AI tools I was already using. The course did not provide a certificate.
